WEEK 11 “THE MANIFOLD GRACE OF GOD” (1 Peter 4:10)

THE MANIFOLD GRACE OF GOD! (1 Peter 4:10)

“Each of you should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, as good stewards of the MANIFOLD GRACE of GOD.” (1 Peter 4:10)

The word GRACE as used here in 1 Peter 4:10 is the Greek word “charis” and can mean God’s good will, loving-kindness or UNMERITED FAVOUR towards us!!

In this passage here in 1 Peter 4:10, notice we are told that God’s GRACE can come in MANIFOLD forms? So let’s take a look at what God’s manifold grace towards us looks like!

1.According to Ephesians 2:8, it is the grace of God (His unmerited favour towards us) that SAVES US!!

2.According to Titus 2:11-12, the grace of God not only saves us but EMPOWERS US TO SAY NO TO UNGODLINESS AND TURN AWAY FROM SIN TO LIVE A GODLY LIFE!

3.According to 1 Corinthians 15:10, the grace of God allowed Paul and will allow us to WORK HARD/LABOUR IN THE FAITH!!

4.According to 2 Corinthians 12:9, God’s grace is linked in with His DIVINE POWER to help us overcome our WEAKNESSES- hardships, insults, persecutions and sufferings. HIS GRACE IS ALL SUFFICIENT!

5.According to Romans 12:6-8 and 1 Peter 4:10, God’s grace empowers us with SPIRITUAL GIFTS from the Holy Spirit to be used to build up the body of Christ!!

PRAYER: Thank you Jesus for your AMAZING GRACE that saves me, helps me to turn from my sin and be able to work hard in living a godly life pleasing to you! Thank you that your grace (unmerited, undeserving , unearned favour) is ALL SUFFICIENT FOR ME and empowers me to overcome my weaknesses. Help me to use the spiritual gifting/s you have given me by your grace to help build up my brothers and sisters in Christ in you!!

Amen!

And as the very last verse of the bible says:

“The GRACE of our Lord Jesus be with all God’s people. Amen.” (Revelation 22:21)
